Avoncourt have the latest thermoforming equipment on site, purchasing new thermoforming machines every year for the last 10 years. We are currently installing further automation on these lines to ensure that efficiency is at a maximum. Everything we sell is produced in our production facility in Cork which runs on a 24 hour shift basis.

We have 2 different types of machines which gives us flexibility and versatility in our production process:

Contact Heat Machines: Material and energy efficient machines capable of producing flow-wrap type trays – the trays made on these machines have a distinctive ‘upturn’ on the flange.

Form/Cut/Stack Machines: These are the traditional thermoforming machine where the material is heated, then formed, then cut and finally stacked. Our new machines are completely servo-motor driven ensuring huge output at minimal energy usage. The consistency and quality of the trays produced are second to none.

We have established improvement programmes in all areas in the manufacturing process, undergoing energy audits, health & safety audits as well as regular hygiene reviews. These programmes together with the capital investment result in higher output, quicker changeovers and improved product quality – all vital in keeping us ahead.
