With experience of designing for many valued brands and with the latest technologies at their disposal, Avoncourt’s design team will ensure that your ideas are taken from concept to reality in the shortest possible time. The stages for developing a new product are as follows:
Concept

This can be an idea, a sketch or an actual product: A face-to-face meeting with one of Avoncourt’s design team or, (depending on the complexity of the product) a phone-call or email, will begin to bring your concept to life.
Drawing

The customers’ ideas will be put to paper using SolidWorks or CAD software. This gives the customer a three dimensional view of the tray. Critical features for end use and automatic handling of the product e.g. auto-denest, sealing, automatic closure etc. are built in at this stage.
Prototype

Once the above drawing is agreed, a prototype is made up and samples are formed and submitted in the actual material that will be used in production. This usually only takes a few days as it is essential to meet our ever-tightening deadlines for product launches.
Approval

Using the prototype samples, pre-production trials and transit trials take place. This is followed by final customer approval and sign-off for tooling.
Tooling

Built on state-of-the-art CNC machines, normal lead time from approval is 4 weeks although we will try to accommodate every schedule. Production is planned at this stage so we guarantee to set up and produce with the new mould within 48 hours of its arrival.
