Avoncourt Packaging Limited was established by William Bateman in 1977 to produce formed plastic packaging. This was the result of a great marketing upsurge in fast moving consumer products. With food particularly, there was a demand for manufacturers to make their products visually attractive to consumers.

Dull functional packaging would no longer meet the requirements of large multiple supermarkets with extensive display areas. The requirement was for attractive, well designed packaging which would appeal to the consumer and sell the product while at the same time ensuring consistent quality and maximum shelf life.

Avoncourt Packaging was started to fulfill these market requirements and has since, established itself as one of the leading suppliers of Vacuum and Pressure Formers in the country.
